Hive Line is an AI-assisted, human-supervised communication platform. This page explains, in plain language, how the AI works, what is recorded or transcribed, and the controls you have.

1. What is AI-generated

  • Replies on calls, emails, and SMS may be generated by AI models.
  • Summaries and call transcripts are produced automatically.
  • AI output may contain mistakes — it should not be relied upon as legal, medical, or financial advice.

2. Recording & Transcription

  • If enabled, inbound and outbound calls may be recorded and transcribed.
  • You are responsible for notifying participants and obtaining any consent required by their jurisdiction.
  • You can disable recording, transcription, and AI summaries at any time in Settings → AI Receptionist.

3. Human Oversight

Hive Line is built so a human can supervise, review, and override AI activity. On Enterprise plans, you can monitor live conversations and take over in real time. On all plans, you can review transcripts, summaries, and message history.

4. Controls You Have

  • Toggle call recording on/off.
  • Toggle transcription on/off.
  • Toggle AI summaries on/off.
  • Set retention duration for recordings and transcripts.
  • Export or delete stored communications.

5. What We Do Not Claim

We do not promise a 100% response rate, perfect AI accuracy, or guaranteed delivery. We design for reliability and provide tools to monitor and intervene.

6. Data & Processors

AI requests are processed by trusted providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI) and voice calls by Retell AI. See our Privacy Policy for the full list and retention rules.
